Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights has opened submissions for its 2021 RFK Book and Journalism Awards. The deadline is Feb. 1.
The annual award explores the best work across student and professional categories on issues related to human rights, social justice, and the power of individual action. For this year, a new Criminal Justice category has been introduced.
Winners will be announced live during the virtual ceremony in June and receive a bust of Robert Kennedy. A $2,500 cash prize for the Book Award winner, $1,000 for each of the professional journalism award categories, and $500 for student award winners will also be awarded.
