Politico is hiring for a digital producer who is passionate about journalism and looking to kick start a career in a newsroom.
This position requires you to:
- Work closely with reporters and editors to copy edit and publish Politico’s content adhering to Associated Press and in-house copy-editing standards
- Add art, produce/test links and schedule alerts and calendar events
- File and tag stories in the content management system
- Communicate with reporters and editors onsite and offsite
- Serve as the final say before publishing of work
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.A./B.S. or equivalent (preferably in Journalism, Political Science or English)
- Working knowledge of AP Style
- Availability to work flexible hours to meet publishing needs is a must
- Passion for digital media and journalism
