Yahoo Finance decided to launch Yahoo Finance Premium on July 23 by taking over Grand Central Terminal.
A pop-up was established at Vanderbilt Hall, and commuters took part in contests, photo experiences, and an opportunity to learn about Yahoo Finance Premium.
Yahoo Finance Premium is a subscription-based service hoping to establish a presence among retail traders. Verizon’s entire ecosystem of brands was on hand during the event, including representatives from Huffpost and Yahoo Lifestyle.
Yahoo wanted to create a memorable experience by hosting the event at the iconic Grand Central Terminal, known for its Beaux-Arts design and the fact that it boasts more terminals than any other train station in the world. New York City commuters were also able to take advantage of a free trial of Yahoo Finance Premium, as well.
