The News Media Alliance announced the recipients of its Rising Star awards (previously the Top 30 Under 30 Awards) at mediaXchange 2017, being held this week at the New Orleans Marriott.
The awards program honors young leaders working in every aspect of the news media who are contributing to the future success of the industry.
Recipients had to be under the age of 30 on March 31, 2017 to be considered for the award.
The winners from business journalism are:
Adya Beasley, Senior Video Journalist, The Wall Street Journal
Seven-time New York Emmy Award-winning video journalist for The Journal where she produces both short and long-form video news content for the newspaper’s page one stories.
Emily Glazer, Reporter, The Wall Street Journal
Glazer writes about J.P. Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo for The Journal from New York and Los Angeles. She covers all aspects of banking in addition to broader industry trends. She previously wrote about global bankruptcy and restructuring for The Journal’s deals team.
Robert Copeland, Reporter, The Wall Street Journal
Copeland hedge funds for the Money and Investing section. He also writes page one investigative features.
