Wall Street Journal real estate reporter Kris Hudson is leaving the paper for a job handling media strategy at real estate brokerage firm CBRE Group.
He starts his new job on Dec. 16.
Hudson had been covering home-building companies and residential real estate, as well as real estate development in various Western states. He joined The Journal in 2005.
“It’s bittersweet,” wrote Hudson in a note on Facebook. “I’m beyond excited to tackle some new challenges and opportunities at CBRE, which crafted this job just for me. But I’m sad to be leaving the WSJ and to be wrapping a 21-year career in journalism that spanned seven newspapers in three states.”
Before The Journal, Hudson worked at the Denver Post for five years and at the Boulder Daily Camera in Colorado.
