Kimberly S. Johnson, editor of professional products at The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following announcement:

Dear Colleagues,

I’m pleased to announce the official launch of WSJ Pro Artificial Intelligence. As we all know, AI is driving changes at every level of society, disrupting the way people live and work. Companies that master this change stand to gain remarkable advantage in the marketplace. Those that don’t are at risk of falling behind, or worse.

Much as we have done with WSJ Pro Cybersecurity, our unique mission is to cover the business dimensions of artificial intelligence, often lost amid the discussion of technology or investment trends. Our stories will provide business professionals with timely and meaningful insight into the various operational, regulatory, economic and ethical challenges companies face when deploying artificial intelligence.

The primary parts of our product include daily and enterprise stories, alerts, a weekday newsletter and live events — all designed to deepen executives’ understanding of this disruptive technology.

You can find us at www.wsj.com/pro/ai. Check out our stories, including an AI primer.  Sign up for our newsletter which will launch on Tuesday, and download our special report. The sponsored product is free to all, and we welcome you to link to our coverage.

WSJ Pro AI is led by two veteran journalists with vast experience covering the ways that technology can disrupt and enable companies. Steven Rosenbush, who serves as Enterprise Technology Editor on the professional news team, oversees Pro AI, Pro Cybersecurity and CIO Journal. Steve has been at the Journal for seven years and is a co-founder of CIO Journal and its morning newsletter, “The Morning Download.”

John McCormick, who has more than 20 years of experience leading specialized professional publications, is the editor for Pro AI. John joined the WSJ recently after serving as the editorial director at Royal Media, where he oversaw a number of finance and technology brands, including Bank Innovation and Auto Finance News.

Prior to Royal Media, John was the editorial director of the Professional Services Group at SourceMedia, where he managed a diverse portfolio of brands that included Accounting Today and Employee Benefit News. Previously John was the chief content officer at Professional Social Networks, a company he co-founded, and has also been the editor of IT publications such as CIO Insights and InformationWeek.

This launch wouldn’t be possible without the combined effort of all the reporters and editors on the WSJ Pro staff. Special praise goes to Prabha Natarajan, Henry Williams, Tom Loftus, Sara Castellanos, Kelli Parker, Angus Loten, Kim Nash, Jack Hagel, Becky Yerak, Brian Gormley and Nick Elliott. Thanks also to work by the technology team, in particular Matt Pena.

Please do share the news of the launch of this exciting new product with colleagues and peers. And thank you for your continued support of WSJ Pro and the rest of our professional products.
