Parmy Olson, a Forbes journalist, has been hired by The Wall Street Journal to cover technology in its London bureau.

“I’m beyond grateful to all my colleagues and friends at where I’ve learned so much over the years, and incredibly excited for this new chapter,” she wrote on Twitter.

She replaces Stu Woo, who is moving to Beijing to cover technology in China.

Olson had been with Forbes since October 2005, starting off as a markets reporter. She eventually wrote daily online features on European business news and became London bureau chief, leading a team of three reporters covering business and finance news in the region.

She most recently has been a senior technology reporter, covering developments in artificial intelligence, privacy, digital health and robotics in Europe and Silicon Valley. Her book “We Are Anonymous” was the first, inside look at the global hacktivist collective Anonymous and its spinoff LulzSec.

Olson previously worked for the BBC and holds a degree from City University of London.
