TheStreet hires Schaffler from Reuters

Rhonda SchafflerTheStreet.com has hired Rhonda Schaffler as anchor of TheStreet TV and editor-at-large to TheStreet.com.

Schaffler was with Reuters News, where she recently served as an anchor, correspondent and producer for Reuters Insider, one of the organization’s financial video products.

As editor-at-large, Schaffler will contribute enterprise articles and write a weekly syndicated column for TheStreet’s distribution partners. As part of her responsibilities for TheStreet TV, Schaffler will interview newsmakers, such as Warren Buffett, and other well-known CEOs.

Schaffler and TheStreet’s co-founder Jim Cramer will have a weekly segment called, “Perspectives from TheStreet.” Schaffler will also anchor a weekly show that is currently in development.

“We’re excited to have someone of Rhonda’s caliber join our growing video team,” said head of video Ruben Ramirez in a statement. “Rhonda understands what it takes to tell a truly engaging story while maintaining exceptional standards of journalism.”

Schaffler has more than 20 years of experience as a broadcast financial journalist for global organizations including Bloomberg, Dow Jones & CNN. She has reported on a wide variety of topics, including wealth management, investment strategy, commodities and energy, the economy, and politics.
