Dan Strumpf has been named Asia technology reporter for The Wall Street Journal, based in Hong Kong.
He replaces Juro Osawa, who left the paper to become a reporter for The Information.
Strumpf previously covered financial markets for The Journal, with a focus on the stock market. He formerly covered energy markets and white collar crime for Dow Jones, and he helped cover Europe’s financial crisis out of Madrid.
Previously covered the auto industry for The Associated Press.
He is a Northwestern University graduate.
