Allison Levitsky has been hired by the Silicon Valley Business Journal to cover big technology companies.
Editor J. Jennings Moss writes, “She joins SVBJ after a nearly two-year run at the Palo Alto Daily Post, where she covered local politics, crime, courts, education and breaking news in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos and Stanford. Previously, she spent a year at Bay City News, where she ran the regional wire service’s San Jose bureau.
“A Bay Area native — she was born in Walnut Creek and grew up in Danville — Levitsky graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California at Berkeley.
“Now at SVBJ, Levitsky will be keeping tabs on big companies like Adobe, eBay, PayPal, Cisco, Broadcom and more. These are well-known companies that employ thousands locally and across the world, but don’t get as much attention as other tech giants like Google, Facebook and Apple. She’ll be writing about those companies too, but through a clear local lens that seeks to get to the ‘what’s it mean’ for executives, employees and the community at large.”
