Reuters starts sending web traffic data to editorial staff

Reuters.com lookLeela de Kretser, the managing editor of Reuters.com, has started sending out a daily email to the editorial staff to let them know what stories are getting the most traffic.

Here is Tuesday’s email:

We had an excellent day yesterday, particularly on mobile, where we had the 4th highest visitors ever to Reuters.com. While bacon angst was a clear standout with nearly 300,000 views, we had and a number of other high traffic stories yesterday. Please see attached for the Top 25. Great day! Yay!
