Reporter Todd Buell is leaving The Wall Street Journal for another job.
On Twitter, Buell wrote that he will “begin a new adventure on a new beat in a new European city next month. It’s been an honor to work here. Thanks to all who made it possible.”
Buell wrote about the European Central Bank and the eurozone economy from The Journal’s Frankfurt bureau. His coverage area included monetary policy, economic indicators, and general economic stories. He contributed to the MoneyBeat and Real Time Economics blogs and also occasionally to Speakeasy.
Buell graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine and has a master’s degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill’s Transatlantic Masters Program.
And with those SNB flashes, an era comes to a close. Today’s my last day of active employment at @WSJ and DJN. I’ll begin a new adventure on a new beat in a new European city next month. It’s been an honor to work here. Thanks to all who made it possible.
