News service Reorg Research announced Wednesday that it is opening a Washington, D.C., office this month as part of the launch of its newest product, Event Driven.
Event Driven is aimed at providing equity investors, traders, and lawyers with real-time news and analysis on corporate litigation, government policy changes, and M&A enforcement that move markets and impact stock prices.
Event Driven’s reporters will work along with legal and policy analysts.
“As court rulings, regulatory decisions and policy changes continue to have an outsized impact on all markets, we saw an opportunity to bring the breaking news, market-moving scoops, and in-depth analysis that we’ve become known for in the distressed debt and leveraged finance markets to a broader audience,” said Kent Collier, founder and CEO at Reorg Research, in a statement. “This is a natural extension of our expertise in bringing transparency to complex markets, and we look forward to expanding our coverage and geographical footprint through the launch of Event Driven.”
Kevin Reynolds will serve as the managing editor of Event Driven. Widely considered to be a leading expert and innovator in the delivery of real-time, actionable news, Reynolds spent more than 20 years building some of Bloomberg’s most successful teams and products, including First Word and the Speed Desk.
