Lyn Kremer announced Monday that she will retire as publisher of the Philadelphia Business Journal after 23 years.
Craig Ey, editor of the paper, writes, “Kremer joined the Philadelphia Business Journal as publisher in 1992 and directed the media company through many years of growth. She came to Philadelphia from Crain’s Chicago Business, where she was sales manager.
“When she first arrived, the Business Journal was exclusively a weekly print product. Over the years, through her leadership, the Business Journal has morphed into a multiplatform media company that is a business market leader in print, online and events.
“Kremer started many initiatives for the Business Journal including the iconic Women of Distinction awards and Healthiest Employers.
“‘The Business Journal staff has repeatedly delivered on our mission to help our business readers grow their career, their companies and their charitable involvement,’ she said. ‘It was such a pleasure to work with this wonderful team as we have continued to claim our position as an icon in the business community.'”
