Matthew Richardson, the tech reporter for the Orlando Business Journal, has left he newspaper for a job with Global-5 Communications, an Orlando public relations, marketing and digital firm, reports Dennis Pape of Orlando Venture Sourcing.
Pape reports, “Matt joined the OBJ in 2013 and took over tech reporting from Abraham Aboraya in December 2014.
“In his new role as an outreach and media consultant at Global-5, Matt will help build positive press coverage for business and other individuals in the community through event organization, social media engagement, and blogs.
“‘My time covering technology in Orlando has been a challenging, but fun and rewarding experience,’ Richardson said. ‘At first, covering such a large field felt daunting because there are so many good stories out there that have gone untold. But I’m glad I’ve been able to share some of them and help give entrepreneurs the spot light they need. At times, I really wanted to focus more on startups, because I feel that is where a lot passion within the industry exists — those who have an innovative idea and are fighting to show its worth. Those stories matter because they inspire others.'”
