Cara Baruzzi has been named the new business editor of the New Haven Register, replacing Steve Higgins, who resigned last week to start up his own business consulting company, according to a short story in Wednesday’s paper.

New Haven RegisterThe story stated, “Baruzzi has been a business reporter at the Register for the past three years, coming to the Register after a stint as a reporter at the Manchester Journal-Inquirier.

“Register editor Jack Kramer said, ‘While we will miss Steve, I am pleased to have someone of Cara’s skills ready to move into such an important position for the Register. I am confident our business coverage won’t miss a beat with Cara in charge.’

“Before starting at the Register in November 2004, Baruzzi was a town news reporter for the Journal Inquirer in Manchester for 18 months, from March 2003 to November 2004. Prior to that, Baruzzi was a staff writer at the Hartford Business Journal from November 2001 to March 2003.”
