Barbara Rehm has been named editor in chief of American Banker, according to a story in the paper.
The story stated, “Ms. Rehm joined the paper in 1987 as a reporter in its Washington bureau. She was promoted to Washington bureau chief in 1995, senior editor in 1998, and assistant managing editor in 2003.
“As the editor in chief, Ms. Rehm has joined the editorial leadership team supporting SourceMedia’s newly configured banking group, which reports to Richard Melville, who was recently promoted to group editorial director from managing editor.
“As American Banker’s editor in chief, Ms. Rehm succeeded David Longobardi, who has been promoted to chief content officer for SourceMedia.”
