Anna-Louise Jackson has been hired by CNBC Acorns as a senior writer based in New York.

Jackson previously was a lead writer for NerdWallet, focused on the site’s investing content.

Before that, she worked at Bloomberg for more than six years as a U.S. stocks reporter, economics reporter and ranking analyst.

She began her journalism career as a project manager for Crain’s Chicago Business where she was responsible for managing the publication’s annual study of the 50 fastest growing public and private companies in the Chicago area.

Jackson received her bachelor’s degree in economics and journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.

In January, CNBC struck a partnership deal with personal finance site Acorns that includes an equity stake and an editorial content partnership.
