Minnesota Business magazine to cease operations
Minnesota Business, which covers small and mid-sized companies, will stop publishing with its November/December issue, reports Alex Wittenberg of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Wittenberg writes, “The magazine, which is owned by Minneapolis-based Tiger Oak Media Inc., will cease operations at the end of this year, Executive Editor Megan Effertz confirmed Wednesday in an interview.
“There are nine people on staff at Minnesota Business, Effertz said. Each staff member will be reassigned to other Tiger Oak publications. The company also owns Minnesota Bride magazine and Seattle Business magazine, among others.
“‘We’ve had a great year, with many inspiring stories, new readers both online and off, and back-to-back sold out events,’ Effertz said in an email statement to a businessperson on Monday that was obtained by the Business Journal on Wednesday. ‘Although we’d love to share every story of every Minnesota company and business leader, the time has come for us to say, ‘Stop the presses!’ ”
