Marijuana Business Daily has become a member of the Associated Press, giving the cannabis-focused news publication access to marijuana-related stories from around the world.
“This allows us to enhance our coverage by offering readers more news and analysis about the marijuana industry, legalization efforts and the businesses and people behind this rapidly growing sector,” said Chris Walsh, Marijuana Business Daily’s editorial director, in a statement
“The fact that the Associated Press recognizes us as a highly credible news source is yet another testament to the strength of our editorial content,” Walsh added. “This is particularly important amid growing concerns over the prevalence of ‘fake’ news and marketing-focused content passed off as solid journalism.”
MJBizDaily will incorporate cannabis business coverage from the AP’s staff as well as more than 6,000 newspapers and TV and radio stations worldwide that are AP members.
The deal also allows Denver-based Marijuana Business Daily to push out its exclusive staff-reported stories, data and charts to thousands of mainstream news outlets across the world that are part of the AP network.
