Inyoung Hwang, a stocks editor at Bloomberg News, has left for a job at The Wall Street Journal.

She will be the futures and options editor at the Journal starting in late August.

In a farewell email to her Bloomberg colleagues, Hwang wrote:

It has been an incredible experience working with brilliant, kind colleagues who are passionate about good journalism. From covering bull markets, bear markets, fiscal cliffs to referendums in Europe, I feel so lucky to have been a part of a newsroom that has been so exciting and filled with camaraderie.

I want to thank all of you for your advice and friendship throughout my seven years at Bloomberg. I’d love to hear how you’re doing going forward so please stay in touch! Wish you all the best!

Hwang started at Bloomberg as an intern in 2009. She also worked as a stocks reporter there and as a multimedia intern at the Financial Times.

She has a degree in English from Dartmouth University and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
