Ian Anderson, the publisher of the Tampa Bay Business Journal, writes about how the paper is integrating content from Tampa Bay Inno, a new publication launched by its parent company, into the print paper.

Anderson writes, “From the start, the Inno folks and I were very interested figuring out a way to better co-brand the products, as well as leverage the equity TBBJ has built over the last 30+ years to better position Tampa Bay Inno.

“Lauren Coffey joined the TBBJ team in November 2018, and in short order, she quickly began knocking the cover off of the ball when it comes to covering the local startup ecosystem. People frequently mentioned to me that it’s been exciting to watch our coverage evolve with Lauren’s arrival.

“Lauren has done such an incredible job out of the gate that we and our Inno partners decided to pivot the existing Inno model and build the framework around her. With the assistance of contract writers and corporate resources, Lauren will be heading up Tampa Bay Inno’s content efforts. She’ll be producing The Beat, a twice-weekly newsletter that targets and reaches the entrepreneurial community.

“There will be crossover coverage that appears on TBBJ’s site, and there will be a weekly Inno page in print. Lauren is also going to keep her coverage of higher education, which will fit in nicely.”
