Gerry Dick, who runs the Inside Indiana Business television program, talks to Carol Wersich of the Evansville Courier Press about why local television business news is so rare, but can be successful.
Wersich wrote, “Bank mergers were a trend back then. Two high-profile bank presidents whose companies had just merged agreed to appear on Dick’s first show.
“The next week, there was a switch in CEOs at Eli Lilly and both the outgoing CEO and the incoming CEO agreed to appear.
“Today, the television show airs on 14 Indiana network and public stations and his daily radio reports air on 14 statewide stations.
“He also provides news on-demand from his collection of email, Web and interactive business news products.”
