Houston Chronicle hires Douglas as a biz reporter
The Houston Chronicle has hired Erin Douglas to be a reporter on its business news desk.
She will cover general business reporting, with a focus on Houston region’s biggest companies and corporate executives.
Douglas is currently working on ProPublica’s Electionland reporting project, where she is helping local newsrooms around the country cover issues of access to the ballot and problems that prevent eligible voters from casting their vote during the 2018 elections.
She recently completed an internship with Bloomberg, where she covered energy.
Douglas graduated cum laude from Colorado State University in May 2018 with dual undergraduate degrees in journalism and economics. While in school, she was editor of the Rocky Mountain Collegian. She also interned at the Denver Post while in college.
