Bill Hethcock, who has been covering economic development and workforce topics for the Dallas Business Journalism, is becoming the paper’s residential real estate and relocation reporter.
A story on its website states, “During his tenure at the DBJ, Hethcock has covered a variety of topics over the past dozen years, from health care and real estate to aviation and telecom.
“In his new role, Hethcock will focus primarily on residential real estate and trends driving relocation to Texas, both by corporate entities and regular citizens. He will also focus on how the rapidly changing demographics of Texas are shaping business and consumer decisions in Dallas-Fort Worth.
“‘Bill has done an excellent job covering the California exodus to Texas. Now he’ll have an opportunity to focus more on the growing standalone cities in our region — and he’ll rack up a lot of miles doing it because the area is expanding rapidly,’ said Editor-in-Chief Jeff Schnick. ‘His beat will cover most of North Texas, from Weatherford to Forney, and from Frisco to Waxahachie.'”
