Georgia paper splitting off Sunday biz section

The Valdosta (Ga.) Daily Times is splitting its Sunday business and lifestyle sections, previously in one section, into two standalone sections.

A story on its website states, “In the business section, readers will find building permits and property transactions most weeks, as well as feature stories on area businesses, advice columns, business briefs, etc. The weekly house feature from Home & Farm is scheduled to run as a regular advertisement in the section.

“In the lifestyle section, readers will find Susan Grooms gardening column, as well as feature stories, reviews, education briefs, etc. The Sunday puzzle page is also in the lifestyle section.

“We think establishing business and lifestyles as two independent Sunday newspaper sections again will give readers a better reflection of what the Valdosta-area has to offer.”
