The Financial Times has hired Nastassia Astrasheuskaya to cover oil, gas and metals in its Moscow bureau.
She is expected to start on Oct. 8. She will also cover Central Asia.
Astrasheuskaya has been an associate editor for S&P Global Platts Oil since January 2015.
She also worked as a TV producer and as a correspondent for Reuters in Moscow from December 2010 to December 2012 and from January 2014 to October 2014. For Reuters, she covered topics such as punk rock band Pussy Riot’s anti-Kremlin protests to the Bolshoi Theatre.
Astrasheuskaya is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill.
