Fox Business Network posted its highest overall ratings and highest ratings in the key 25- to 54-year-old demographic in January, according to Nielsen Media Research.
The network’s strong performance was helped by its second presidential debate. Moderated by Neil Cavuto and Maria Bartiromo, the Jan. 14 event scored 11 million total viewers and 3 million in the 25- to 54-year-old demo from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The eight-year-old network had its best performing 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. time slot in network history, averaging 131,000 total viewers.
“Mornings with Maria” had its highest-rated month ever in total viewers, with the 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. show seeing a 19 percent gain in total viewers and a 25 percent gain in the demo from December.
The network’s market-hour programs also scored their highest-rated month ever, with Stuart Varney’s “Varney & Co.” averaged 159,000 total viewers with the month and “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” averaged 117,000 total viewers for the month.
Trish Regan‘s “The Intelligence Report” averaged 106,000 total viewers with her 2 p.m. show while Liz Claman’s “Countdown to the Closing Bell” averaged 112,000 viewers for the month in the 3 p.m. slot.
