Forbes announced Monday the launch of Forbes Finland, its first international edition in Nordic countries, in partnership with SK Media Finland.
The Finnish-language monthly edition, with a circulation of 70,000, will be distributed across Finland beginning on March 28. The digital app version will launch in May, followed by live events and conferences starting in June.
The editorial team in Helsinki is led by business journalists Jouko Marttila and Hannu Vuola.
“The goal of Forbes Finland is to bring fresh new ideas for businesses in Finland and help them overcome the economic difficulties of the past decade,” said Fredrik Nars, senior vice president of SK Media Finland, in a statement. “For the launch campaign, we’ve selected the slogan – Changing Business, Changes Finland. We hope the stories in Forbes Finland, some of which will be inspired by the editorial content from Forbes magazine’s 38 editions around the world, will help Finnish entrepreneurs realize their true potential.”
SK has been publishing Forbes in Baltic countries since 2010, starting from Latvia, where Forbes magazine has reached the world’s biggest circulation per 1 million population. SK Media Finland will launch Forbes in Sweden in 2018 and in Norway in 2019.
Forbes also has deals to publish editions in China, Croatia, India, Israel, Korea, Poland, Romania, Russia and Turkey.
