Economics policy editor Reis leaves Washington Post for Rolling Stone

Patrick Reis, an economic policy editor at The Washington Post, has left the paper to become political editor at Rolling Stone.

He has been at the Post since February 2017.

Patrick was previously deputy national editor of Politico, editing policy journalism and being responsible for helping conceive and edit the site’s lead stories. He also helped oversee coverage of the 2016 campaign.

He was previously National Journal’s assistant managing editor focused on politics and policy. He was also a staff writer for National Journal and a reporter for Politico and Greenwire.
