Mark Fahey, a data journalist and graphics editor at CNBC, is leaving the business news organization for a job in the Scripps News Washington bureau

Fahey is joining the Scripps investigative team as a computer assisted reporting producer. He will start in June.

“Covering business news with the talented journalists at CNBC has been a wonderful experience,” said Fahey in an email to Talking Biz News. “I’m proud of the stories, analyses and graphics our data journalism team has produced over the last two years, and I’m very excited to apply those skills to investigative projects for Scripps in Washington, DC.”

Fahey’s stories and visualizations have also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, CNN Money and Crain’s New York Business.

He studied biology as an undergraduate at Washington University in St. Louis and business and economics journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
