CNET has stopped publishing its quarterly magazine, reports Troy Wolverton of Business Insider.
Wolverton reports, “The organization informed employees of the closure of CNET Magazine at a company meeting last month, current and former employees said.
“CNET confirmed the closure in a statement emailed to Business Insider, saying it would no longer publish the magazine ‘on a regular basis.’ The last issue of the magazine was its summer issue, which CNET already sent out to subscribers.
“‘We are proud of all of the hard work that went into producing the publication for the last four years and thankful to everyone on the team for their contributions to the magazine and their ongoing contributions to http://CNET.com ,’ the company said in the statement.
“A company representative declined to offer a specific reason for the shutdown. No layoffs are expected as a result of it.”
