CNBC.com reached the No. 3 position in the business/finance news category for the first time ever and delivered a record 49.2 million unique visitors in September, which was up 74 percent year-over-year.
Yahoo Finance is No. 1 while Business Insider is No. 2. Forbes fell to No. 4.
CNBC had the largest visitor growth in the business/finance news category, adding 20.9 million more unique visitors year-over-year, according to the comScore Media Metrix (U.S.) September 2017 report.
CNBC Digital also saw growth in mobile with a record high of 30 million mobile unique visitors, up 105 percent year-over-year.
Additionally, CNBC ranked No. 1 in the business news desktop video category for the second consecutive month, reaching 19.4 million video viewers, which was up 58 percent compared to the same time period last year, according to the comScore Video Metrix (U.S.) September 2017 report.
In September, CNBC.com saw a number of sections reaching traffic highs. According to Adobe Analytics, technology was the top section, up 148 percent year-over-year, and Make It had its 10th consecutive record month, up 179 percent compared to the same time period last year.
The site’s consumer and life sections also hit traffic highs, with 221 percent and 323 percent year-over-year growth, respectively.
