CNBC has hired four new journalists as part of its 18-month rotation program where they will handle a variety of assignments.
The new staffers are:
- Waverly Colville, CNBC.com news associate. Colville worked on the breaking news desk of The Wall Street Journal this summer and is a graduate of the University of Missouri. She previously interned with CNBC and is from Buffalo, New York. During her internship, she produced segments on “Closing Bell” by assisting producers with research, making graphics and pre-interviewing guests.
- David Gernon, “Power Lunch” news associate. He is a recent graduate of Northwestern University, majoring in journalism with an Economics minor. He is a member of Society of Professional Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Last summer, he interned on CNBC’s breaking news desk.
- Maggie Fitzgerald, “Squawk on the Street” and “Squawk Alley” news associate. Fitzgerald was a broadcast journalism major at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with minors in political science and integrated marketing and communications. She worked as a production intern at NBC Sports Chicago this past summer.
- Rachel Pak, CNBC News desk news associate. Pak graduated from Wellesley College where she was executive producer of Wellesley College TV. She was also editor of The Wellesley Review and interned for CNBC the last two summers.
