    i hope someone at the book publisher caught the typo in the last paragraph of the excerpt:
    …he was not in the awful position…

    i assume Steve meant
    he was now in the awful position..

    As a former BW correspondent, I am really looking forward to reading the book! But I also hope a proofreader caught another typo, in the second graf of the excerpt:

    Without two years, even before the financial crisis exploded, BusinessWeek lost money for the first time since the 1930s.

    Presumably it should say “Within two years”
