Contessa Brewer has been named as a general assignment reporter for CNBC, the business news network announced Tuesday.
Brewer joined the network as a contributor in September 2016, heavily concentrated on the 2016 election and has done a variety of reporting including stories on the increase in lobster demand, the U.S. dairy war with Canada, and coal country’s reaction to the Trump administration.
Brewer working as a host for the MSNBC weekend program called “Caught on Camera.” She has also worked as a correspondent for NBC News and as an anchor for the NBC’s flagship station WNBC.
After graduating from Syracuse University, Brewer worked at KMIR-TV in Palm Springs, California from 1997 to 1999 and KRNV-TV in Reno, Nevada as a news photographer. Afterwards, she filled in the post of weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee.
