The Boston Globe has begun a morning business news email newsletter called Talking Points AM.
It’s produced by deputy managing editor Larry Edeman. A focus on real-time business news is a new part of his duties as a deputy managing editor.
It’s produced Monday through Friday, and no subscription is required. Consumers can sign up for it here.
“Our afternoon business newsletter, topped with a daily exclusive post by the Globe’s Jon Chesto, has been enormously successful, growing to more than 100,000 signups in less than three years,” said Edelman. “It’s a great way to catch up on the day’s news.The new morning edition is designed to get you ready for the day, with Globe and national stories curated for a quick read.”
Edelman was editor of the business section from May 2015 to May 2017. Before that he was a senior editor at the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News. A graduate of Cornell University, he first worked at the Globe from 1989 to 1999, including five years as business editor.
