Kyle Gross has been named the new general manager of BostInno, the tech news site in Boston owned by American City Business Journals.
Gross writes, “My favorite thing about BostInno’s mission is connecting people through our events, giving you resources on who to know in Boston and helping new entrants navigate our tech scene. I like to think of BostInno as the guide to all things innovative and cool if you are a proud Bostonian who’s thinking about the future of the city and your career.
“Moving forward, I think Boston needs to do a better job retaining its tech leaders from the West Coast. Last week, a report out of MIT noted our software and Internet companies tend to sell out earlier than those in Silicon Valley and New York. In other words, we’re not swinging for the fences. That’s one of the reasons we’re losing top talent to the Silicon Valley dream of having coffee with Sam Altman and strolling down Sand Hill Rd.
“How do we fix that? Connecting people with information, opportunities and other people who are making things happen in Boston. That’s our job here at BostInno. Let me know if you ever want to chat about how we can do that more effectively.”
