Bloomberg has delayed the launch of its new Bloomberg Business website, which would combine Bloomberg News content with Bloomberg Businessweek, reports Keith Kelly of the New York Post.
Kelly writes, “The media and data giant had originally planned to give a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon in advance of its new Bloomberg Business launch — with Senior Executive Editor Josh Tyrangiel, Bloomberg Media CEO Justin Smith, and Chief Operating Officer Jacki Kelley on hand.
“On Monday, Bloomberg said the briefing was going to be delayed for a day, until Wednesday.
“Josh Topolsky, editor of Bloomberg Digital, tweeted on Monday: ‘Really excited about the @business launch — we’re taking a few extra days to fine tune, CANNOT wait to share it with you guys.’
“But then on Tuesday came word that the briefing was completely canceled — with no immediate rescheduled date and no clear cause for the delay.”
