Madi Alexander, a data journalist for Bloomberg BNA is moving to a reporter role at Bloomberg Government.
At BNA, Alexander covers topics such as health care, pensions and campaign finance. At Bloomberg Government, she will cover elections and campaign finance.
She starts her new job on Oct. 30.
Alexander received her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, where she specialized in data reporting. Her bachelor’s degree is in political science. She was the data intern for ProPublica and the digital intern for The New York Times. She also worked for IRE/NICAR in the database library.
During her journalism career, she has covered everything from state legislatures to the Pope to tractor pulls. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, CNN and more.
Her print work, videos and graphics have earned her almost 20 awards, at both professional and student levels.
