Morgan Housel, a business columnist for The Motley Fool and The Wall Street Journal, is joining an investment firm, The Collaborative Fund, as a partner.
Housel will be writing and speaking for the firm, as well as developing a strategy to broaden the firm into new areas of the investment world.
“We are excited for Morgan to be working closely with the deal team and across Collaborative Fund’s network to bring his insights and analysis to the firm and our portfolio,” said Craig Shapiro, founder and managing partner of the Collaborative Fund.
“Morgan’s research and analysis has contributed to some of our macro thinking and strategy. He has been an early and consistent supporter of the advantages of longer-term, patient capital. His advice and support are already highly sought after by entrepreneurs and investors, and in this new role, he will be able to spend even more time providing more direct assistance.”
Housel been a columnist for The Motley Fool for nine years, covering investment history and behavioral finance. He’s a two-time winner of the Best in Business Award from SABEW and was a finalist for the Gerald Loeb Award twice, in 2013 and 2016.
He also wrote a column for the Journal each Saturday in 2014 and 2015.
