Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter sent out the following announcement on Wednesday:

Sometimes change happens that it not obvious to the untrained eye, and we’re having a bit of that at Inc.
Maria Aspan’s title is changing to Editor at Large. For the most part, her role at Inc. won’t be dramatically different: she will continue her first-rate editing of magazine columns and features, as well as online, and appear at Inc. events and in podcasts and videos as appropriate. But the new title reflects an increased emphasis on her insightful writing (if you’ve not read her masterful Wawa piece in the June issue, you’re in for a treat).
In addition, Kristin Lenz’s role is evolving. Going forward she will shift much of her focus to Inc.’s digital presence. This includes, among other duties, helping the digital team design the snazzy new Ceros pages (like the landing page for Rising Stars). Kristin will continue to lend her infographic expertise to the print magazine, and also ensure that our award-winning charts and graphics translate to their fullest online.
I hope you will join me in congratulating them, and supporting them in their new roles.
