Dan Packel has been hired by ALM Media to cover the economics and global strategy of the biggest U.S. and international law firms, writing mainly for The American Lawyer.
Packel, based in Philadelphia, spent the past six years reporting on litigation, regulatory issues and the legal industry in Pennsylvania for Law360.
His writing has also appeared in The New York Times, the New Republic, the Daily Beast, the Awl and other outlets.
Packel holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
