Emily Heil of the Washington Post spoke with Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo about her career, her spending habits and her investments.

So first I have to ask you about the whole “money honey” moniker. Does it bother you? Have you just embraced it?
I was always grateful to be noticed. And the truth is, no one picks up the phone and is like, ‘Hey, Money Honey, what are you doing today?’ I understand the suggestion that it might take away from my abilities, but I never felt that way. It’s funny.
Your show has the only all-female cast in business TV. What’s that like on-set?
First, I have to say we didn’t set out to have that — I can’t take credit for that, because it just sort of happened. We all root for each other, and we have each other’s backs. It’s nice to get a female view on all these “masculine” issues.
