The Wall Street Journal is looking for a mobile editor to join its busy editing hub in London.

The core role is focused on maintaining our innovative What’s News mobile app as part of the regional team, including selecting the morning news lineup, creating items, editing and checking items that colleagues have created, staying on top of the news and updating the app throughout the day.

The position may also include wider mobile and hub duties, including monitoring and curating all mobile products for quality control of presentation and content; backing up the work of our digital news hub and real-time editing desk, and occasionally filling in as an editor on weekends.

The ideal candidate should have strong news judgment, excellent editing skills under deadline pressure and the ability to work well in a team with colleagues in different regions. A flexible, creative approach and a broader sense of trends across mobile news delivery are desirable.

The position is based in the News Building in the London Bridge Quarter of London.
