The Wall Street Journal’s U.S. News team seeks a digitally savvy weekend editor with the skill and experience to pivot between traditional print publications and mobile, online and social media.

Above all, the right candidate must be a first-class wordsmith with a light touch that will enhance the work of the world’s best reporters while respecting their voice and style as writers.

This role requires deep knowledge of SEO best practices along with the ability to craft compelling and clever headlines for all our publication channels, from the homepage to the front page.

The right editor will be experienced with general news, ranging from politics, law and crime to real estate, central banks and the economy and also have a solid grounding in business, finance and markets. This role requires someone who will embrace the opportunities that come with a later shift that straddles weekends.

Please include a cover letter and resume with your online application.
