WSJ seeks visual storyteller in New York

The Wall Street Journal is seeking a talented visual storyteller to lead its visual journalism efforts for the Business & Technology section.

They will be managing a team of photo, graphics, design and interactive specialists assigned to that coverage area on a daily basis, directing everything from breaking news response to the creation of large, ambitious projects.

The ideal candidate would have experience creating and employing different forms of visual storytelling, being able to discern what is the most appropriate to utilize when. This person would have their hands in both the print and online products, tailored for a range of devices.

All are a must for this position: A background in news visuals; a portfolio demonstrating an understanding and appreciation for good data visualization; vision to drive creative projects and the ability to organize a team to make them a reality; at ease in a fast-paced environment; the ability to report and edit visuals.
