WSJ seeks video journalist

The Wall Street Journal Video department is seeking an energetic and positive live show editor who will work closely with a team of producers. This position entails editing for 3 live shows and 1-2 small packages daily.

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • MAC platform literacy
  • advanced skills in Final Cut Pro 7
  • ability to remain calm in a high-pressure environment while meeting tight deadlines
  • strong editorial judgment
  • experience in a news environment
  • creative problem solving skills
  • understanding video conversions
  • ability to multitask
  • time management skills

Candidates may be asked to perform several Final Cut Pro tasks during the interviewing process. Knowledge of Photoshop, FCP X, Adobe Premiere, After Effects and familiarity with ENPS + FORK is a huge plus.
