The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter to cover the wild world of retail.

The position will be based in New York with responsibilities retail chains like Gap, J. Crew and Target, as well as online-only web upstarts like Everlane and Birchbox. The ideal candidate can break news as well as deliver smart enterprise stories on an industry that is undergoing upheaval as shoppers increasingly skip stores and buy on their phones.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
