WSJ seeks reporter for CMO Today

June 1, 2016

The Wall Street Journal’s Media & Marketing team is looking for an enterprising reporter to join CMO Today, our growing online home for coverage aimed at industry specialists and general readers interested in marketing.

The job entails covering the world of ad agencies as they adapt to profound changes in the media landscape — the effects of pay TV cord-cutting, ad skipping and online ad blocking; the emergence of “big data” and highly targeted advertising; and the dominance of Facebook and Google in digital marketing.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to develop sources in the industry, produce news-breaking posts and write bigger features to run in the Journal’s digital and print editions.

The position requires frequent collaboration with others on the CMO Today team and reporters in other Journal bureaus. Prior knowledge of the marketing and media business and contacts in those industries would be a significant advantage.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
